Crazy Answered Prayers & Blessings: Story #3

Story #3: Dead at work?

Long story short:

- I’m in SLO on July 14 and I’m supposed to head to Poland on July 15 at 4 a.m. in the morning.

- I have to 1) Finish packing/prepping for Poland and 2) Pack up all the stuff in my house because my roommates and I were moving

- I’m super crunched for time.

- I’m scheduled to work a lunch shift at Upper Crust (local Italian restaurant in SLO).

Skip from my morning to when I’m heading into work. I still have a crapload of things to do.  As I’m walking through the door of the restaurant I throw up a quick prayer in my head, ‘God, I pray that I’ll get off early today…like by 1 p.m.”

Right after praying that I think to myself, “That’s so stupid…there’s no way that would happen” (note that every day I had worked and gotten off around 3).

So what time did I end up clocking out?

1:15!

It was crazy. A miracle. Silly, I know…and doesn’t sound like a miracle, but to me it was a miracle.  Literally from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m, no one came into the restaurant…literally, no one!! That’s the busiest time for lunch, and no one came!  One time it looked like there was a group of 4 people about to walk in, but then last second they did what looked like a juke move and went to the sushi place next door.  It was crazy.

Answered prayer (definitely seems like a small one, but it was huge to me! It gave me time to get ready/pack…time I desperately needed).
